The Portsmouth City Council (Francis Avenue Play Street) (Temporary Road Closure) (No.268) Order 2023
Portsmouth City Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding in the roads and the lengths of roads set out below.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
FRANCIS AVENUE
From its junction with Devonshire Square/Jessie Road to its junction with Delamere Road for a distance of approximately 250 metres.
DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 14:00 to 16:00 on Sunday 1st October 2023, or at the discretion of the Highway Authority or its Agents. Roads will reopen when it is deemed safe to do so.
REASON FOR THE ORDER
The above restrictions are necessary as the roads are liable to be obstructed or thronged during a community play event.
DIVERSION
Through traffic (including cycles and e-scooters) will be diverted to Jessie Road, Esslemont Road to Delamere Road and vice versa, or Devonshire Square, Jubilee Road to Delamere Road and Delamere Road, Bath Road, Devonshire Avenue to Devonshire Square.
