Portsmouth City Council (Clarence Esplanade and The Dell) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.175) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 12th June 2023 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
CLARENCE ESPLANADE
From its junction with The Dell to its junction with South Parade.
Duration: 12/06/2023 – 19/06/2023.
THE DELL
From its junction with Clarence Esplanade to its junction with South Parade.
Duration: 19/06/2023 – 26/06/2023
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate utility works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 07:30 on 12th June 2023 to 17:00 on 26th June 2023 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Works will be carried out in sections as detailed above. Notwithstanding the above, works will be carried out between 07:30 – 17:00.
D) DIVERSION
Clarence Esplanade: Vehicles (and cyclists) will be diverted from The Dell – South Parade.
The Dell: Vehicles (and cyclists) will be diverted from South Parade – Jack Cockerill Way – Clarence Esplanade.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
