The Portsmouth City Council (Arundel Court School Street) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving) (No.101) Order 2023

Portsmouth City Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding in the roads and the lengths of roads set out below from Monday 27th March 2023 to Thursday 30th March 2023.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING

From Monday 27th March 2023 to Thursday 30th March 2023 between 8:15 – 9:15 and 14:30 – 15:30, or at the discretion of the Highways Authorities or their Agents. Roads will reopen when it is deemed safe to do so.

In its entirety.

2. NORTHAM MEWS
Resident access only.

REASON FOR THE ORDER
The above restrictions are necessary for the safe passage of pedestrians on the road at school start and finish times.

DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Arundel Street.
Access will be maintained under marshal control for vehicles displaying a disabled badge, emergency services, Home to School Transport and resident and staff vehicles identified prior to the closures by the school and Portsmouth City Council.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
