Portsmouth City Council (Various Roads – Electric Vehicle Bays) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.272) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 25th September 2023 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITON OF LOADING AND WAITING
BERNEY ROAD (NORTH SIDE)
Outside Nos. 15 – 21.
GLASGOW ROAD (NORTH SIDE)
Outside Nos. 44 – 50.
RANDOLPH ROAD (EAST SIDE)
Outside Nos. 94 – 100.
WALLACE ROAD (WEST SIDE)
Side of 249 Powerscourt Road for 30 metres from its junction with Powerscourt Road.
WAVERLEY GROVE (NORTH SIDE)
Outside No. 1 for 20 metres from its junction with Waverley Road.
STUBBINGTON AVENUE (NORTH SIDE)
Outside Nos. 205 – 209.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate installation of new road markings for electric vehicle bays (TROs 75A/2020 and 75B/2020). Additional parking bays suspended for each works to accommodate the lining vehicle.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 25th September 2023 to 13th October 2023 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Each works is expected to be carried out over one hour between 07:30 – 16:30. Dates of each works will be notified in advance by the placement of signs and letters to affected residents and businesses.
D) DIVERSION
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
