Portsmouth City Council (Southsea Food Festival) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.127) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 16a of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994.
The Order comes into operation from Thursday 14th July 2022 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
CLARENDON ROAD
Between Palmerston Road and The Vale.
(From 12:00 Friday 15 July to 12:00 Monday 18 July 2022)
OSBORNE ROAD
Between Ashby Place/Portland Road and Palmerston Road.
(From 12:00 Friday 15 July to 12:00 Monday 18 July 2022)
PALMERSTON ROAD
Between Osborne Road/Clarendon Road and Auckland Road East.
(From 12:00 Friday 15 July to 12:00 Monday 18 July 2022)
AVENUE DE CAEN
Between Clarence Parade and Clarence Esplanade. (Except for authorised access)

B) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
CLARENDON ROAD
Between Palmerston Road and The Vale.

CLARENCE PARADE
2 parking spaces (11m) west of Palmerston Road on the north side of Clarence Parade in front of Queens Keep.

4 parking spaces (17m) west of Avenue de Caen on the south side of Clarence Parade in front of Queens Keep.

C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate the Southsea Food Festival event.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 18:00 on Thursday 14th July 2022 to 12:00 on Monday 18th July 2022. Notwithstanding the above, the event will take place on Saturday 16th July 2022 and Sunday 17th July 2022. This Order revokes loading and access for delivery provisions set out in TTRO 33 2022 Palmerston Road and Villiers Road for Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th July 2022 only. Access for deliveries between 0600 – 0630 on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th July 2022 only.
E) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted from Clarence Parade, Osborne Road, Portland Road, Kent Road, Marmion Road, Victoria Road South, Clarendon Road and Lennox Road South, Clarence Parade and vice versa.
Vehicles diverted from Avenue de Caen, Clarence Parade, Jack Cockerill Way, Clarence Esplanade and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
