The Portsmouth City Council (RNA F40 Field Gun Walk) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving) (No.107) Order 2022
Portsmouth City Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding in the roads and the lengths of roads set out below on 18th June 2022.
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING (ROLLING CLOSURE)
From 16.00 to 17.30, or at the discretion of the Chief Constable of Hampshire Constabulary. Roads will reopen when it is deemed safe to do so.
1. QUEEN STREET
From HMS Nelson main gate to its junction with The Hard.
2. THE HARD
From Queen Street to its junction with St Georges Road.
3. ST GEORGES ROAD
From The Hard to its junction with Park Road.
(GUNWHARF QUAYS (Private Land)
From Park Road entrance to St Georges Road exit.)
4. ST GEORGES ROAD
From Park Road to Cambridge Road junction.
5. HIGH STREET
From Cambridge Road junction to its junction with Broad Street.
6. BROAD STREET
From High Street to its junction with Broad Street.
REASON FOR THE ORDER
The above restrictions are necessary for the safe passage of the RNA F40 (Falklands 40th) Field Gun Walk.
DIVERSION
A rolling road closure will be in place. Traffic will follow the parade and roads will be re-opened when considered safe to do so.
