Portsmouth City Council (Remembrance Day Service) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Waiting and Loading) (No.196) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The Order comes into operation from 07:00 to 12:30 on Sunday 13th November 2022 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

Prohibition of Waiting and Loading from 07:00 to 12:30 and Prohibition of Driving from 07.00am to 10.00am:

1. CLARENCE ESPLANADE
From Serpentine Way to the Hovercraft Terminal.

Prohibition of Waiting and Loading
From 07:00 to 12:30
AND
Prohibition of Driving
From 08.15am to 12.30pm:
2. KING HENRY 1 STREET
In its entirety.

3. EXCHANGE ROAD
In its entirety.

4. WHITE SWAN ROAD
From its junction with Exchange Road to its junction with Guildhall Walk.

5. GUILDHALL WALK
From its junction with Winston Churchill Avenue to its junction with King Henry 1 Street.

6. SPRING GARDENS
In its entirety.
Traffic will follow the parade and roads will be re-opened when considered safe to do so.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate the Remembrance Day Services and Parade.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 0700 until 1230 on Sunday 13th November 2022, or completion of the event, whichever is sooner.

D) DIVERSION
Traffic will follow the parade and roads will be re-opened when considered safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
