Portsmouth City Council (Norway Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.147) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 8th August 2022 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
NORWAY ROAD
From the junction of Copnor Road to the junction of Gunstore Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate resurfacing works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 8th August 2022 to 18th August 2022 for 11 nights or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 19:30 to 06:00.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted northbound from Norway Road – Anchorage Road – Eastern Road – A27 – Portsbridge Roundabout – London Road – Copnor Road and Copnor Road – Old London Road – London Road – Portsbridge Roundabout – A27 – Eastern Road – Anchorage Road – Norway Road.
Vehicles diverted southbound from Copnor Road – Milton Road – Baffins Road – Milton Road – Velder Avenue – Eastern Road – Anchorage Road – Williams Road Roundabout – Anchorage Road – Eastern Road – Velder Avenue – Milton Road – Copnor Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
