Portsmouth City Council (Milton Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.81) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 3rd May 2022 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

MILTON ROAD (SOUTHBOUND)

From St Marys Roundabout to Velder Avenue.

B) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN

JAMES ROAD
Into Milton Road (southbound).

UNION ROAD
Into Milton Road (southbound).

C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate traffic signal refurbishment works.

D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 3rd May 2022 to 27th May 2022, or completion of the works on, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 21:00 to 05:00.

E) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted from St Marys Road – Fratton Road – Goldsmith Avenue – Fratton Way – Rodney Road – Milton Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
