The Portsmouth City Council (Kings Academy College Park School Street) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving) (No.171) Order 2022
Portsmouth City Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding in the roads and the lengths of roads set out below from Monday 26th September 2022.
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING
From Monday 26th September 2022 to Friday 21st July 2023 between 8:15 – 9:00 and 14:40 – 15:30, or at the discretion of the Chief Constable of Hampshire Constabulary. Roads will reopen when it is deemed safe to do so.
Notwithstanding the above, closures will be in place on weekdays during term time only. Please visit Portsmouth.gov.uk and search ‘school term dates’.
1. CROFTON ROAD
From its junction with Kirby Road to its junction with Stubbington Avenue.
2. LYNDHURST ROAD
From its junction with Stubbington Avenue to its junction with Kirby Road.
REASON FOR THE ORDER
The above restrictions are necessary for the safe passage of pedestrians on the road at school start and finish times.
DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Stubbington Avenue to Randolph Road and Kenyon Road to Kirby Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
