Portsmouth City Council (Goldsmith Avenue) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.85) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 9th May 2022 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
GOLDSMITH AVENUE
From the junction of Fratton Way to the junction of Frogmore Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate frame and cover repair to manhole in carriageway.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 9th May 2022 for 1 night or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 19:30 – 06:00.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted from Goldsmith Avenue – Fratton Bridge Roundabout – Victoria Road North – Winston Churchill Avenue – Hampshire Terrace – Landport Terrace – Kings Terrace – Southsea Terrace – Western Parade – Clarence Parade – South Parade – St Helens Parade – Eastern Parade – St Georges Road – Cromwell Road – Eastney Road Goldsmith Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
