Portsmouth City Council (Florence Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.13) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 31st January 2022 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

FLORENCE ROAD
1) From its junction with Beach Road to number 29 Florence Road (in two phases).
2) From its junction with South Parade to its junction with Clarence Road.

ST CATHERINE STREET
From its junction with Florence Road to its junction with Onslow Road.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate City Fibre ducting works.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 31st January 2022 for 5 weeks or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, the works on Florence Road will be carried out in two phases, as notified in letters to residents and businesses.

D) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted as follows for each closure on Florence Road:
1) South Parade, Burgoyne Road, Clarendon Road and vice versa
2) South Parade, Burgoyne Road, Beach Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
