Portsmouth City Council (Dugald Drummond Street) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.37) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 1st March 2022 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

DUGALD DRUMMOND STREET
From the junction of Isambard Brunel Road to the junction of Greetham Street.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate the removal of scrap rail utilising HIAB lorries.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 1st March 2022 for 18 months or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place over six weeks in three phases:
Phase 1: On 1st March 2022 between 08:00 – 20:00.
Phase 2: From 8th March 2022 to 1st April 2022 between 23:00 – 06:00.
Phase 3: From 7th April 2022 to 9th April 2022 between 23:00 – 06:00.

D) DIVERSION
No diversion – road closed for safety.
Pedestrians will be diverted from Isambard Brunel Road to Station Road, or Greetham Street, and vice versa.
