Portsmouth City Council (Dugald Drummond Street) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.95) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 20th May 2022 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING AND FOOTWAY CLOSURE

DUGALD DRUMMOND STREET
From the junction of Isambard Brunel Road to 25 metres west of its junction with Station Street Access Road To Portsmouth And Southsea Station.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate essential railway viaduct strengthening works.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 20th May 2022 for 4 days or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 20:00 – 06:00.

D) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted from Isambard Brunel Road – Greetham Street – Dugald Drummond Street (Access only for local traffic and deliveries – No route to station). Station Car Park closed.
One way system in Station car park will be removed for traffic to enter and exit on Station Street. No entry restriction removed on Dugald Drummond Street for eastbound access from Greetham Street for local access only.
Pedestrian access will be diverted from Greetham Street – Isambard Brunel Road – Commercial Road – Station Street and vice versa.
