Portsmouth City Council (Cascades Approach) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.6) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 17th January 2022 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

CASCADES APPROACH
From the junction of Market Way to the junction of Charlotte Street.

CHARLOTTE STREET
From the junction of Cascades Approach to the junction of Brewer Street.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate survey works.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 17th January 2022 for 3 nights or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 20:00 to 06:00.

D) DIVERSION
No vehicle diversion. Access will be marshalled for access to Cathedral car park.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.

This Order temporarily suspends TTRO 6 2020 Charlotte Street which permitted deliveries from 20:00 to 08:00 and two-way cycle traffic on Charlotte Street. Cyclists to use shared cycle path on Unicorn Road – Hope Street and vice versa.
