The Portsmouth City Council (Victorious Festival) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.93) Order 2021

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order will be in operation from 06:00 on Friday 27th August 2021 to 08:00 Tuesday 31st August 2021, the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING

1. From 06:00 on Friday 27th August to 08:00 on Tuesday 31st August 2021.

From east of the bus stop outside the Blue Reef Aquarium to east of disabled bays outside D-Day Museum.

F) ALTERNATIVE ROUTES FOR TRAFFIC

The diversion route during closure times listed in A)1 on Clarence Esplanade and Avenue de Caen will be Jack Cockerill Way, Clarence Parade, Duisburg Way, Pier Road and vice versa.

The diversion routes during egress times listed in A)2:
Kings Road, Elm Grove, Victoria Road South, Richmond Road, Clarendon Road, South Parade and vice versa.

Diversion route for Pembroke Road (southbound only) Museum Road, High Street and Pembroke Road.

G) REASON FOR MAKING THE ORDER

The Order is required to allow for the safe set up and take down of event infrastructure for the Victorious Festival event, to reduce the disruption to traffic likely to be caused by the event for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road and for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
