Portsmouth City Council (Station Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.55) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 21st May 2021 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
STATION ROAD
60m of Station Road at entrance to railway.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate works area for welfare, parking and staff access to be compliant with Covid-19 guidelines.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
Works will take place between 21:00 on 21st May 2021 to 05:00 on 24th May 2021.
The order will continue to be in force for eighteen months if works are postponed due to reasons connected to coronavirus. Rescheduled dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to residents and businesses.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles and cyclists diverted from Station Rd – Stroudley Avenue – Lower Drayton Lane – Grove Road – Station Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
