Portsmouth City Council (St George’s Road Railway Bridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.141) Order 2021

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 1st December 2021 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

ST GEORGE’S ROAD
For 20 metres either side of the railway bridge.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate bridge scaffolding and repair works.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 1st December 2021 for 5 nights or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 23:00 and 06:00 on each night.

D) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted from B1254 – A3 – Queen Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian and cycle access will be maintained.
