Portsmouth City Council (South Parade) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.54) Order 2021

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 17th May 2021 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

SOUTH PARADE
From the junction of Clarendon Road to the junction of St Helen’s Parade.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate resurfacing works.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 17th May 2021 for 6 nights or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place from 09:30-15:30 under two way signals for day works 17/05/2021 – 19/05/2021. Night closures will take place between 19:00 – 05:00 from 18/05/2021 to 25/05/2021 with no weekend working.
The order will continue to be in force for eighteen months if works are postponed due to reasons connected to coronavirus. Rescheduled dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to residents and businesses.

D) DIVERSION
Vehicles and cyclists diverted from Granada Road – St Helens Parade and vice versa. South Parade – Burgoyne Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
