The Portsmouth City Council (London Road Coastal Promenade Leading To Twyford Avenue) (Temporary Footway Closure) (No. 46) Temporary Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 6th April 2021 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE (INCLUDING ACCESS FOR CYCLISTS AND E-SCOOTERS)
LONDON ROAD COASTAL PROMENADE LEADING TO TWYFORD AVENUE
From the junction of London Road to Twyford Avenue.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate repair works to the concrete wall.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
This Order may be cited as The Portsmouth City Council (London Road Coastal Promenade Leading to Twyford Avenue) (No. 46) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2021 and shall come into operation from 6th April 2021 for a maximum of 4 weeks or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place over four sections with each works not anticipated to take longer than two days each. Each works will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to affected residents and businesses.
D) DIVERSION
Cyclists and pedestrians will be diverted from Twyford Avenue to London Road and vice versa, or relevant sections along the route, as indicated by signage.
