Portsmouth City Council (Jubilee Avenue) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting and Footway Closure) (No.06) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 10th January 2021 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
JUBILEE AVENUE
From its junction with Truro Road to its junction with Pamela Avenue.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Installation of telecoms equipment works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 10th January 2021 for 1 day or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
The order will continue to be in force for eighteen months if works are postponed due to reasons connected to coronavirus. Rescheduled dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to residents and businesses.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicle diversion: Portsdown Road – Newbolt Road – Truro Road
Pedestrian access: will be maintained on the opposite footway.
HGV / Bus Service 3 diversions: From Ludlow Road via Hempsted Road-Elkstone Road-Allaway Avenue Shops eastbound-Southampton Road-Portchester Precinct in both directions.
