Portsmouth City Council (High Street (Cosham)) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.63) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The Order comes into operation from 5th June 2021 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
HIGH STREET (COSHAM)
20 METRES EITHER SIDE OF RAILWAY CROSSING
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate the annual barrier maintenance and overhaul at the level crossing.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 5th June 2021 to 6th June 2021, or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Notwithstanding the above the works will take place between 23:00 on 5th June 2021 and 17:00 on 6th June 2021.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted via Portsmouth Road – A397 Northern Road – Portsbridge Roundabout – Northern Road – Wayte Street – High Street and vice versa (via Wooten Street and Vectis Way).
Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained via station footbridge or Portsmouth Road – Cosham Interchange – Northern Road – Vectis Way – High Street and vice versa.
