Portsmouth City Council (Havant Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.05) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order came into operation from 7th January 2021 and the effect was as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
RECTORY AVENUE
At its junction with Havant Road for 5 metres.
GILLMAN ROAD
At its junction with Havant Road for 5 metres.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate works for new gas main to development site.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 7th January 2021 for 10 months or completion of the works, whichever is sooner?
The order will continue to be in force for eighteen months if works are postponed due to reasons connected to coronavirus. Rescheduled dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to residents and businesses.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicle diversions:
Rectory Avenue Diversion: Woodfield Avenue – Grant Road. Galt Road
Gillman Road Diversion: Evelegh Road – Galt Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Please note: A separate Order supporting these works will come into effect on 22nd January 2021:
