Portsmouth City Council (Gladys Avenue) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.83) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 26th July 2021 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
GLADYS AVENUE
From the junction of Wadham Road to the junction of London Avenue.
Diversion:
Northern Parade – Twyford Avenue –
Stamshaw Road – Kingston Crescent London Road, and:
London Road – Kingston Crescent – Rudmore Roundabout – Twyford Avenue.
Local diversions in place.
NORTH END AVENUE
From its junction with Gladys Avenue to Nelson Avenue.
Local diversions in place.
B) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
NORTH END AVENUE
Outside Nos. 75-77 and 90-92.
GLADYS AVENUE
Side of Nos. 79 and 55.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate excavation works for environmental equipment to be placed in Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) on behalf of Southern Water.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 26th July 2021 for 1 week or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, the Order will be in force for a maximum of 12 months for contingency purposes.
E) DIVERSION
Vehicle diversions detailed in Section A. Cycles to follow local diversions.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
