Portsmouth City Council (Eastern Road Footpath) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.134) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 15th November 2021 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
EASTERN ROAD
From the junction of Anchorage Road to the junction of Burrfields Road.
AIRPORT SERVICE ROAD
From the junction of Bilton Way to the junction of Eastern Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate cycle scheme footpath widening works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 15th November 2021 for 30 weeks or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 19:30 to 05:30.
Northbound closure works will only take place after 23:00 when Portsmouth Football Club have home games in the evening.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted from Anchorage Road – Robinson Way – Airport service Road – Dundas Lane – Burrfields Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian and cycle access will be maintained within the closure.
