Portsmouth City Council (Copnor Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.65) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 14th June 2021 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
SEAFIELD ROAD
From the junction of Copnor Road for 10 metres.
Diversion: Mayhall Road – Highgate Road and vice versa.
TOKIO ROAD
From the junction of Copnor Road for 10 metres.
Diversion: Mayhall Road – Highgate Road and Burrfields Road – Highgate Road.
MAYHALL ROAD
From the junction of Copnor Road for 10 metres.
Diversion: Seafield Road – Highgate Road and Tokio Road – Highgate Road.
KESWICK ROAD
At the junction of Copnor Road.
Diversion: Copnor Road – Kendal Avenue.
MANOR PARK AVENUE
From the junction of Copnor Road for 10 metres.
Diversion: Copnor Road – Station Road.
STATION ROAD
At the junction of Copnor Road.
Diversion: Copnor Road – Manor Park Avenue.
NEW ROAD EAST
At the junction of Copnor Road.
Diversion: New Road – Copnor Road and Copnor Road – Queens Road – Lynn Road.
QUEENS ROAD
From the junction of Copnor Road for 10 metres.
Diversion: Copnor Road – New Road – Carnarvon Road and Powerscourt Road – Paulsgrove Road.
POWERSCOURT ROAD
From the junction of Copnor Road for 10 metres.
Diversion: Queens Road – Paulsgrove Road and Chichester Road – Westbourne Road.
CHICHESTER ROAD
From the junction of Copnor Road for 10 metres.
Diversion: Copnor Road – Powerscourt Road – Westbourne Road and Laburnum Grove – Kensington Road.
WALLINGTON ROAD
From the junction of Copnor Road for 10 metres.
Diversion: Chichester Road – Kensington Road and Epworth Road – Kensington Road.
EPWORTH ROAD
From the junction of Copnor Road for 10 metres.
Diversion: Wallington Road – Kensington Road and Laburnum Grove – Kensington Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate City Fibre communications works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 14th June 2021 for 6 months or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place over one day. Each works will be notified in advance by the placement of signs and letters to affected residents and businesses. The order will continue in force for up to 12 months if works are postponed due to adverse weather. Alternative dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to affected residents and businesses.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted as above for each closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
