Portsmouth City Council (Clarendon Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.95) Order 2021

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 13th September 2021 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

RICHMOND ROAD
For 10 metres from its junction with Clarendon Road.

CLARENCE ROAD
For 10 metres from its junction with Clarendon Road.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate City Fibre ducting works.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 13th September 2021 for 2 weeks or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, the order will remain in force for 18 months if works are rescheduled due to adverse weather or other works. Alternative dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to affected residents and businesses.

D) DIVERSION
Richmond Road: Vehicles diverted from Clarendon Road – Victoria Road South and Clarendon Road – Brandon Road – Hamilton Road – Victoria Road South.
Clarence Road: Vehicles diverted from Clarendon Road – Lennox Road South – Villiers Road and Clarendon Road – Malvern Road – Villiers Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
