Portsmouth City Council (City Fibre – Eastney) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.112) Order 2021

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 4th October 2021 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

KINGSLEY ROAD
Closed for 10 metres at the junction of Eastney Road.

Diversion: Glasgow Road – Tranmere Road – Dunbar Road.

GLASGOW ROAD
Closed for 10 metres at the junction of Eastney Road.

Diversion: Kingsley Road – Tranmere Road and vice versa.

LANDGUARD ROAD
Closed for 10 metres at the junction of Eastney Road.

Diversion: Westfield Road – Prince Albert Road and Reginald Road – Prince Albert Road.

REGINALD ROAD
Closed for 10 metres at the junction of Eastney Road.
Diversion: Landguard Road – Prince Albert Road and Methuen Road – Prince Albert Road.

METHUEN ROAD
Closed for 10 metres at the junction of Eastney Road.

Diversion: Highland Road – Prince Albert Road and Reginald Road – Prince Albert Road.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate City Fibre ducting works.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 4th October 2021 to 31st December 2021 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner as notified in advance by the placement of signs and letters to affected residents and businesses. (Works could include Temporary traffic signals Stop and Go boards and Lane Closures Day/Night works)

D) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted as above for each road closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
