Portsmouth City Council (Castle Road) (Temporary No Through Road, Loading Only and Prohibition of Waiting) (No.45) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 6th April 2021 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY NO THROUGH ROAD AND PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME
CASTLE ROAD
31 metres south-east of Hambrook Street, and 4 metres north-west of Regent Place (From No. 59 to No. 89)
B) TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF RESIDENTS PARKING PLACE (LOADING ONLY PERMITTED)
HAMBROOK STREET
Outside Nos. 1 – 7 on the south side.
C) LOADING ONLY PERMITTED BETWEEN 0900 – 1100
CASTLE ROAD
Outside Nos. 79 – 87 on the east side.
D) TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF NO LOADING RESTRICTION
CASTLE ROAD
18 metres on the west side of Castle Road between the junction of Regent Place and Southsea Terrace.
E) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate works for purposes connected to coronavirus. (This Order replaces previous Orders TTRO 83/2020 and TTRO 117/2020.)
F) DURATION OF THE ORDER
The Order will revoke Orders TTRO 83/2020 and TTRO 117/2020 and be in force for a maximum of eighteen months, continuing the duration of these previous orders. Notwithstanding the above, this Order will come into force from 6th April 2021 and cease to have effect on 31st March 2022.
G) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted from Southsea Terrace – Bellevue Terrace – Hambrook Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
