Portsmouth City Council (Anchorage Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.94) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 6th September 2021 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
ANCHORAGE ROAD
Eastbound from the junction of Williams Road to the east junction of Sywell Crescent.
SYWELL CRESCENT
Northbound from its east junction with Anchorage Road to the junction of Ecton Lane.
B) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
SYWELL CRESCENT
Outside No.18 to Hartwell Road on the eastern side.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate City Fibre Ducting works.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 6th September 2021 for 3 weeks or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 18:30 – 23:00.
E) DIVERSION
Anchorage Road Eastbound Closure: Vehicles diverted from Williams Road – Airport Service Road – Robinson Way.
Sywell Crescent closure: Vehicles diverted from Anchorage Road – Sywell Crescent (west).
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
