Portsmouth City Council (Beaulieu Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.92) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 16th August 2021 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
BEAULIEU ROAD
(From 16th August 2021 to 10th September 2021)
At its junction with Chichester Road.
B) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
CHICHESTER ROAD
(From 16th August 2021 to 24th September 2021)
Outside Nos. 121 – 137.
BURLINGTON ROAD
(From 16th August 2021 to 9th October 2021
From the junction of Chichester Road to Laburnum Grove. Outside Nos. 3 – 55.
LABURNUM GROVE
(From 13th September 2021 to 15th October 2021
From the junction of Farlington Road to Burlington Road.
Outside Nos. 162 – 132.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate water mains replacement works.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 16th August 2021 for 6 months or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, the Order will be in force for 12 months, with the additional six months as contingency in the event of adverse weather or other delays preventing works from taking place as planned. Rescheduled dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to residents and businesses. Works may also include multi-way signals and Stop and Go boards.
E) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted from Chichester Road to Balfour Road – Laburnum Grove and Burlington Road – Laburnum Grove.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
