Portsmouth City Council (West Street) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.100) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 26th October 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
WEST STREET
From the junction Bathing Lane to the junction of Tower Street.
BATHING LANE
In its entirety.
B) TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY
BATH SQUARE
From the junction of Bathing Lane to its junction with Broad Street.
C) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION LOADING AND WAITING
BATH SQUARE
From outside No. 49 Broad Street to Spice Island Inn public house.
D) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate works on damaged building, including crane works.
E) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 26th October 2020 for 7 weeks or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. The order will continue to be in force for eighteen months if works are postponed due to reasons connected to coronavirus. Rescheduled dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to residents and businesses.
F) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted from Bath Square to Broad Street.
Pedestrians will be diverted along Bathing Lane.
