Portsmouth City Council (St George’s Road – Railway Bridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.108) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 16th November 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

ST GEORGES ROAD

From its junction with Park Road to its junction with St George’s Square.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate bridge maintenance – pigeon proofing installation works.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 16th November 2020 for 7 nights or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from St Georges Road – Cambridge Road – St Michaels Road – Anglesea Road – Queen Street – The Hard and The Hard – Queens Street – Alfred Road -Market Way – Anglesea Road – St Michaels Road – King Richard 1 Street – Cambridge Road – St Georges Road.
Pedestrians follow diversion signage.
