Portsmouth City Council (Specks Lane) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.87) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 28th September 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

SPECKS LANE – From the junction of Carisbrooke Road to the rear of No.11 Alverstone Road.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER

To facilitate telecoms works at height.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER

From 28th September 2020 for 4 days or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 08:00 to 18:00 over two days.

The order will continue to be in force for eighteen months if works are postponed due to reasons connected to coronavirus or adverse weather.

Rescheduled dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to residents and businesses.

D) DIVERSION

No vehicle diversion – Dead end road.

Pedestrians will be diverted via Carisbrooke Road – Alverstone Road.
