Portsmouth City Council (Slindon Street – Lower Church Path) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.55) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 31st May 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

SLINDON STREET – From north of its entrance to Station Street car park to its junction with Yapton Street and Lower Church Path.

LOWER CHURCH PATH – 30 metres from its junction with Yapton Street.

YAPTON STREET – 10 metres from its junction with Lower Church Path.

B) TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY

SLINDON STREET – From its junction with Station Street.

C) REASON FOR THE ORDER

To facilitate surveying manhole works.

D) DURATION OF THE ORDER

From Sunday 31st May 2020 for 18 months or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works are expected to take place for 1 night between 23:00 to 06:00. The order will continue to be in force for eighteen months if works are postponed. Rescheduled dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to residents and businesses.

E) DIVERSION

No diversion – Access to Station Street car park only.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.
