THE PORTSMOUTH CITY COUNCIL (PORTSMOUTH COASTAL HALF MARATHON) TEMPORARY PROHIBITON OF DRIVING) (NO 24) TEMPORARY ORDER 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994.

The Order will be in operation between the hours of 0900 to 1015 on Sunday 2nd February 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

EVENT DATE(S) and TIMESROADS TO BE CLOSED TO TRAFFIC
From 9.00 to 10.15 on Sunday 2nd February 20201. FERRY ROAD
From the RNLI station to its junction with Fort Cumberland Road

2. FORT CUMBERLAND ROAD
Westbound from its junction with Ferry Road to its junction with Melville Road

D) ALTERNATIVE ROUTESFOR TRAFFIC

Westbound traffic will be diverted along Ferry Road to Fort Cumberland Road. Roads will be re-opened when considered safe to do so. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

E) REASON FOR MAKING THE ORDER

The Order is required for the safety of participants and to enable the Portsmouth Coastal Half Marathon event to take place on the highway.

A copy of the Temporary Order may be examined at the Information Desk, Ground Floor, Civic Offices, Portsmouth during normal office hours.
