Portsmouth City Council (Park Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting and Footway Closure) (No.93) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 19th October 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
PARK ROAD
From the junction of Anglesea Road to the junction of Burnaby Road.
PARK ROAD
From the junction of Burnaby Road to the junction of St George’s Road.
B) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN
ANGLESEA ROAD (SOUTHBOUND)
At its junction with Park Road. (Westbound into Park Road.)
BURNABY ROAD
At its junction with Park Road. (Eastbound and Westbound into Park Road.)
C) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LEFT TURN
BURNABY ROAD
At its junction with Park Road. (Eastbound and Westbound into Park Road.)
D) TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE
PARK ROAD
On its southern side.
E) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate City Fibre works.
F) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 19th October 2020 for 7 weeks or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Works will take place between 21:00 to 05:30.
Notwithstanding the above, the order will continue to be in force for eighteen months if works are postponed due to reasons connected to coronavirus. Rescheduled dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to residents and businesses.
G) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted from Anglesea Road, St Michael’s Road, King Richard 1st Road, Hampshire Terrace, Cambridge Road, Cambridge Road junction, St Georges Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained on the northern side of Park Road via pedestrian crossing points.
