Portsmouth City Council (Kassassin Street) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.70) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 20th July 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

KASSASSIN STREET – From the junction of Highland Road to its junction with Eastney Street.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER

To facilitate Openreach works.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER

From 20th July 2020 for 18 months or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Notwithstanding the above, works are expected to take place for 5 days.

The order will continue to be in force for eighteen months if works are postponed. Rescheduled dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to residents and businesses.

D) DIVERSION

Vehicles diverted:

Eastbound from Highland Road, Cromwell Road to Tokar Street; and

Westbound from Adair Road, Tokar Street, Cromwell Road to Highland Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.

A copy of the Order may be examined at the Information Desk, Ground Floor, Civic Offices, Portsmouth, during normal office hours.
