Portsmouth City Council (Isambard Brunel Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.68) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 11th July 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING (EXCEPT BUSES, DELIVERIES AND HACKNEY CARRIAGES)

ISAMBARD BRUNEL ROAD – From the junction of Greetham Street to the junction of Commercial Road.

COMMERCIAL ROAD – From the junction of Isambard Brunel Road to the junction of Station Street.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER

To facilitate social distancing measures because of the likelihood of danger to the public.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER

From 11th July 2020 for a maximum of 18 months, or as required.

D) DIVERSION

Vehicles diverted from Winston Churchill Avenue, Holbrook Road, Arundel Street and Station Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian and cycle access will be maintained.

A copy of the Order may be examined at the Information Desk, Ground Floor, Civic Offices, Portsmouth, during normal office hours.
