Portsmouth City Council (High Street (Cosham)) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.30) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The Order comes into operation from 16th March 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

HIGH STREET (COSHAM) – 20 METRES EITHER SIDE OF RAILWAY CROSSING

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER

To facilitate the annual barrier maintenance at the level crossing.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER

From 16th March 2020 for two days or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

D) DIVERSION

Vehicles diverted via Portsmouth Road – A397 Northern Road – Portsbridge Roundabout – Northern Road – Wayte Street – High Street and vice versa (via Wooten Street and Vectis Way).

Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained via station footbridge or Portsmouth Road – Cosham Interchange – Northern Road – Vectis Way – High Street and vice versa.
