Portsmouth City Council (Grove Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting and Footpath Closure) (No.56) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 1st June 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
STATION ROAD – For 30 metres northbound from its junction with Grove Road and 30 metres southbound from its junction with Grove Road.
SOUTH ROAD – For 30 metres northbound from its junction with Grove Road.
GROVE ROAD – For 40 metres west from its junction with South Road (on the northern footpath).
For 40 metres east from its junction with Station Road (on the northern footpath).
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Openreach ducting works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 1st June 2020 for 18 months or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Notwithstanding the above, works are expected to take place for 5 days between 09:30 to 15:30. The order will continue to be in force for eighteen months if works are postponed. Rescheduled dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to residents and businesses.
D) DIVERSION
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
