The Portsmouth City Council (Eastern Road Coastal Path) (Temporary Footpath Closure) (No. 71) Temporary Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that the Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The Order comes into operation on 20th July 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTWAY
COASTAL PATH – from Eastern Road to Kendall’s Wharf.
Starting south of the sluice (north of the Tudor Sailing Club) to Kendall’s Wharf.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
The Order is required to facilitate the Eastern Road Coastal Defence Scheme.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
The Order will be in operation for up to a maximum of 6 months.
Pedestrians will be diverted from the coastal footpath north of Kendall’s Wharf from the coast to the Eastern Road footway, to re-join the coastal path near Frog Lake, Milton Common.
A copy of the Temporary Order may be examined at the Information Desk, Ground Floor, Civic Offices, Portsmouth during normal office hours.
