Portsmouth City Council (Doyle Avenue) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.107) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 30th November 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING
CONAN ROAD
From Doyle Avenue for 40 metres.
B) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
WYLIE ROAD
West from junction of Conan Road for 5 metres on its southern side.
CONAN ROAD
Both sides from its junction with Doyle Avenue for 40 metres.
C) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING
DOYLE AVENUE
Either sides of its junction with Conan Road for 5 metres.
D) TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE
DOYLE AVENUE
North side footway from Northern Parade to Conan Road.
CONAN ROAD
West side for 40 metres.
E) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate housing development works.
F) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 30th November 2020 for 18 months or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place over 12 months.
The order will continue to be in force for eighteen months if works are postponed due to reasons connected to coronavirus. Rescheduled dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to residents and businesses.
G) DIVERSION
Vehicles diverted from Conan Road, Wyllie Road, Northern Parade and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained with diversions to opposite footways as required.
