Portsmouth City Council (Doyle Avenue) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.97) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 26th October 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING

DOYLE AVENUE

From Northern Parade to Conan Road.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate City Fibre ducting works.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 26th October 2020 for 1 week or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
The order will continue to be in force for eighteen months if works are postponed due to reasons connected to coronavirus. Rescheduled dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to residents and businesses.

D) DIVERSION
Vehicle diversion – Westwood Road, Oakwood Road, Northern Parade and vice versa. Southbound on Northern Parade – Northern Parade, Twyford Avenue RAB, Northern Parade, Oakwood Road, Westwood Road, Doyle Avenue.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
