Portsmouth City Council (Cow Lane – Old Wymering Lane) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading, Waiting and Driving) (No.05) Order 2020

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The Order comes into operation from 6th January 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING, WAITING AND DRIVING

COW LANE – From the junction of Medina Road to the junction of Lower Farm Drive.

OLD WYMERING LANE – From the junction of Medina Road to the junction of Wymering Manor Close.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER

To facilitate installation of new gas mains.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER

From 6th January 2020 for two weeks or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

D) DIVERSION

Cow Lane closure: Vehicles diverted from Medina Road, Northern Road,
Portsbridge RAB, Western Road, Northarbour Road and vice versa.

Old Wymering Lane closure: Northbound vehicles diverted from Old Wymering Lane, Herne Road, Sixth Avenue, Medina Road, and Greenwood Avenue.

Southbound vehicles diverted from Medina Road, Greenwood Avenue.
