Portsmouth City Council (Coburg Street) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.88) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 28th September 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING
COBURG STREET – From west of the entrance to Deaf Centre Car Park to its western end.
B) TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE
COBURG STREET – From opposite lamppost no. 4 on the north side to its junction with Holbrook Road.
C) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
COBURG STREET – For 7 metres east on the north side opposite lamppost no. 4.
From west of the entrance to Deaf Centre Car Park to its western end.
D) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate construction of a new build student accommodation.
E) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 28th September 2020 for 18 months or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
No vehicle diversion – Dead end road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained on the opposite footway. Access only to garages on the northern side.
