Portsmouth City Council (Ashurst Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.78) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 24th August 2020 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
ASHURST ROAD – 20 metres either side of No. 26.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate the installation of dropped kerbs and extension of the footway.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 24th August 2020 for 18 months or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Notwithstanding the above, works are expected to be complete before 29th August 2020.
The order will continue to be in force for eighteen months if works are postponed.
Rescheduled dates will be notified by the placement of signs and letters to residents and businesses.
D) DIVERSION
Pedestrian and cycle access will be maintained around the works.
A copy of the Order may be requested at the Information Desk, Ground Floor, Civic Offices, Portsmouth, during normal office hours.
