Care ambassadors are experienced care workers, who act as role models to inspire and encourage others to consider careers in social care. They are chosen for their enthusiasm, commitment, confidence and the ability to convey their passion to others in an informed way.
Portsmouth currently has a small group of care ambassadors from both the local authority and the independent sector, who welcome opportunities to work with schools, colleges and community groups to portray a positive image of the care sector through interactive presentations. They will use a range of fun activities that bring the world of social care to life.
Care ambassadors are also pleased to attend job fairs.
