SensePlus Portsmouth is our day service for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) who also have complex physical or sensory needs.

SensePlus centres

We have two SensePlus centres:

  1. Henderson Road, Ferry Road, Southsea, PO4 9AG
  2. New Road Centre, 5 Balliol Road, Portsmouth, PO2 7PP

Each centre is fully accessible, offering a range of specialist equipment.

Both centres offer a person-centred approach, with personalised timetables, therapeutic programmes, interactive technology and access to community facilities.

Personalised activities include: music therapy, accessible cycling, touch and communication pc (TACPAC), sensory stories and spa sessions.

Transport

Accessible transport is available to and from the centres for those who are assessed as having eligible needs but don’t have a mobility vehicle. Find out more about having a needs assessment.
