Fees with effect from 1 April 2026

New customers should complete our online form to enable us to add you to our finance system. Please note that we do not use PHILIS.

Please note:

• fees are subject to change.
• standard payment terms are 14 days from date of invoice.
• a consignment may be subject to more than one fee from more than one fee category.

We will provide results of analysis as soon as possible. Result turnaround times are subject to delay without warning due to reasons beyond our control.

Common Health Entry Documents

CHED-P (POAO) & CHED-D (HRFNAO)

• Low risk (POAO only): £11
• Documentary Check (applies to all HRFNAO and all Medium & High Risk POAO consignments): £ 99.50
• Identity or Physical Check (applies to all consignments called for inspection): £160
• Analysis – assigned by laboratory: £POA
• Additional fee for bulk samples (30kg) for prep and disposal – assigned by laboratory: £POA
• Courier – if required: £POA
• Issue of notice upon determining non-compliance (e.g. OCRs Regulation 32 Destruction Notice; TARP Regulation 20 Notice): £160

Ship sanitation certificate inspection

• Up to 1,000 GRT: £150
• 1,001 – 3,000 GRT: £200
• 3,001 – 10,000 GRT: £305
• 10,001- 20,000 GRT: £385
• 20,001 – 30,000 GRT: £490
• Over 30,000 GRT: £560
• Vessels with the capacity to carry between 50 and 1000 persons: £560
• Vessels with the capacity to carry more than 1000 persons: £955
• Cruise ship / ferry inspections will be charged based on person capacity, not gross capacity
• Extension of existing Ship Sanitation Certificate: £115
• Vessel re-inspection / inspection following notification from another Competent Authority of conditions on board requiring further investigation: £100/hr

Potable water samples

The laboratory is usually only able to accept samples Monday-Thursday. Prices are per sample.

Other fees

• Certificate of Condemnation (for commodities not subject formal Port Health Official Controls which are unfit for human consumption or unfit for sale): £100/hr
• Supervising Destruction / Re-export: £100/hr
• Intensified Official Controls in accordance with assimilated Regulation 2017/625, Article 79(2)(c): £150
• Officer rate: £100/hr
• Devanning / splitting mixed-load or groupage consignments / full turn-out: £360
• Administrative actions taken outside of our normal processes e.g. CHED submitted which subsequently needs to be withdrawn (may be charged in addition to other fees where work has been carried out): £52
